UC Women Rugby Football Club Take on the CinCity Sevens Tournament

This past weekend, June 7th, the UC Lady Ruggers took on their first sevens tournament. After never having played sevens, the women learned a great deal!
The UC Women’s team consisted of Katy Yoder, Kayla Bell, Emma Wilhelmus, Casey Carver, Danielle Bass , Sammy Niesz, Tiffany Boehmer, and Cleta Sandridge. The women played four games. Though they did not win any of the games, the team learned a lot about playing sevens and continuously improved throughout the day. Every game the UC Women played hard and fought till the end.
The UC Women’s Rugby Football club look forward to traveling to Cleveland in July to play in the Rock n’ Roll 7’s tournament where they hope to bring home at least one win!
