Spring 2017 Season Wrap Up

Our season has come to an end; finishing our play with a busy spring semester. We began our spring season with a friendly match versus division I Bowling Green State (22-22), and two friendly victories against University of Dayton (57-17) and University of Findlay. The first weekend of spring break the team traveled down to Savannah, Georgia to compete in the Savannah Shamrocks Tournament. We finished the tournament with two wins against NC State and Elon and one loss against Virginia Tech. Our the last full 15's game was an unfortunate loss to the Cincinnati Lady Kelts. However, on April 8th we hosted the 2nd annual Ohio Valley 7's Rugby Championship. This brought eight teams from inside and outside of the OVC to compete in an all day 7's tournament. Bowling Green State University got 1st place and Eastern Kentucky University got 2nd in the tournament, while UC took 4th place. The 7s tournament concluded the 2016-2017 season.
