Your favorite lady ruck-machines finished off the entire state of Kentucky today in a sweltering 90 degree heat wave with a 64-0 win over University of Kentucky. Tries were scored by these dashing and extremely suave players:

- Jess Sang (x3)

- Erin Sang (x2)

- Nat Crockett (x2)

- Jorey Bischof

- Sami Harrell

- Maddie Boyd

And how could we forget Meredith Hinger (12pts) and Emily Koslovsky (2pts) for their cherry-on-top conversion kicks? Breathtaking.

All of our players (some of which were playing their first match ever) did amazing and really brought the team together despite playing on the literal sun. Players of the Match during this torrid solar explosion include Jess "Mango" Sang and Giselle "G" Coleman! Mango obviously had an amazing game when she scored her 3rd try and earned herself a hat trick, but she was also moved into a position that she's always wanted to play, but typically doesn't, and proved her value in that spot. Mango is always upbeat and positive and never fails to remind us that she is one inch taller than her twin. #Giant

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Mango was introduced to rugby around the age of 6. She played for the Discovery Bay Pirates in Hong Kong (2004-2014) and Discovery College in Hong Kong (2012-2014) before she finally crossed over to the dark side for UCWRFC in Spring of 2017.

Mango is an Sports Administration Major at UC and is a Student-Manager for the UC Women's Basketball team. Off-campus, she indulges in an unhealthy amount of TV series.

G carried and passed the ball effectively and was proactive in running pod plays and getting to the breakdowns. She is adamant about improving her skills during practices and continues to improve on the reg. She is supportive to her teammates no matter what and takes a lot of pride in being on the team.

G is an International Affairs Human Rights Law Major at UC. She is involved in Latinos en Acción, Club Hispano, and IDENTITY on campus. She works at the Vitamin Shoppe and regularly volunteers at the Santa Maria Immigration Welcome Center and donates to the Vietnam Vets. "I play rugby because some weird girl ($ G-Money $) from my high school told me to play and I thought it was pretty cool," G told us. "As a fat kid, I was never looked at as an athlete and I'm glad I can finally play a sport where the fat kid is of value." #Forwards #GetRucked #BodyPositivity
