Your Lieblingsdamen kicked some serious Hintern this weekend against Cedarville University, shutting them out 92-0! Our very own Kaylan Birks and Erin "Kiwi" Sang each pulled off hat tricks, racking up 15 points each for us. Maddy "Conk" Conklin (x2), Abby "Woody" Lowman (x2), Emily Koslovsky (x2), Meredith "Sprout" Hinger, Natalie Crockett, and Sami Harrell all racked up tries as well, with Hinger kicking 12 points worth of conversion kicks, making UCWRFC undefeated so far in our conference (5-0). Players of the Match for this weekend are Meredith Hinger and Emily Koslovsky- an awesome rookie and vet pair!

Meredith "Sprout" Hinger is a Criminal Justice Major with a Minor in Violence Prevention at the University of Cincinnati. Sprout is a student worker and has been on the UCWRFC Executive Board for 2 years. "I started playing because soccer was getting boring and I wanted to try something new," she says.

Sprout had an amazing game as captain while also leading the back line. Her tackling was better than ever and she went out of her way to take down numerous opposing players over and over again, helping us regain possession dozens of times. We also appreciate the heck out of her work this season on the executive board as our Match Secretary- it's a lot of responsibility and a good amount of chaos, but you do a great job! Thanks Sprout!

Emily Koslovsky is a first year Nursing Major at the University of Cincinnati. She started playing rugby her senior year of high school on the Walnut Hills High School team. "I started playing because I was bored of swimming and I wanted to try something new and full contact. I like rugby because of the physicality, but also because of the comradery our team has. I've only known most of them for a month so far but they are like a second family to me," Koslovsky says. "We do so much together and have so much fun. I'm ride or die for [the team]."

Koslovsky, although originally in the back line, went out of her comfort zone to support the team in their time of need and played flanker for the game this weekend. She did an amazing job flying off the scrum and making much needed tackles right off the bat of the play. Koslovsky also was doing a great job poaching and getting to breakdowns as needed, which was especially impressive considering she also helped in the back line after doing her part in scrums. #IchWillDeinTeamKennenlernen
