Nash Bash or Bust

This weekend UCWRFC tore it UP at the annual Nash Bash tournament in Nashville, Tennessee. This tournament is always looked forward to so much by all the players every year during our less competitive Spring season. "Rugby is good," commented Paige Roller, who played a number of positions this weekend including wing, outside center, and flanker this weekend. We came, we acquired fanny packs, and we conquered, winning two of our three matches played. Total tries this weekend were scored by Alaina "Blondie" Tarr (2), Maddy "Conk" Conklin (2), Giselle "G" Coleman, Emily Koslovsky, Allison "Jimbus" Kossen, Abby "Woody" Lowman, Jorey Bischof (2), and Jess "Mango" Sang, with conversion kicks by Meredith "Sprout" Hinger (2) and Koslovsky.

Player of the Match for this weekend of fun and Waffle House was the one and only scrum-half, Blondie! Blondie won our hearts this weekend with her patience. "[She] showed a lot of confidence while communicating with all the members of the field, especially with so many of us playing out of their comfort zones this weekend," Vice President Woody mentioned. Honorable mentions for POTM were Jim and Olivia "Glove" Clement, who turned it on this weekend and always give it their all.
